    Dooch,

That's the way to do it. Look at the ball and forget about the cursor.

For all those having a hard time you have to blame the cursor based system for some of it. It's just not natural...

If forces the eye to look at the plate and then react which no baseball player does.

Second the problem is with the speed of the cursor. Again not all the natural. When you see a pitch no you have to move your cursor to that region instead of reacting to it.

Like I said before there has to be a better way to hit rather than a cursor or HH way of batting.

Everyones complaining that the pitch speeds are too fast, but judging from all the videos (sgn, ign, opsports) it doesn't seem that the pitch speeds are incredibly faster than last year

I never played last year's version, but i thought they toned down pitch speed a bit this year.

I don't think it is so much that they are fast, but that it is hard to pick up the ball and once you do that it is usually to late. I will try the exagerrated pitch type Like VIC 20 said,

                            Re: Frustrations abound

I think the problem with the batting is that the bat seems really sluggish after pressing the button...I think they need quicken up the swing a tad...It seems I react well to the fastball..but I'm still late becasue the bat is slow getting to and through the zone...

I play baseball every weekend at the highest "adult league" level....basically against ex college and pro players. I can hit FB's up to 90 MPH...anything over...holy cow.

My point is that so far, ASB is not a fun game to bat in....I don't look forward to hitting.....maybe something will click...I'll keep playing until XBOX HH comes out then make a decision...

I do have to say that the stadiums are absolutely awesome...the collision detection is insane....but the HR camera's....uggghh

I think the Austin Acclaim team would be wise to retool the batter/pitcher interface next year...and also some fielding issues...if they can work this all out then they could have a gem on their hands....everything else is done very well.
                            teaching.............still fun

I totally agree Pigpen. The stadiums and the collision detection inside the stadiums are amazing. Nothing like hitting the ball of the scoreboard in the Cactus league Stadium.

Totally agree on the hitting too, also I think JROD noted this, there is really no difference between a 95 mph fastball and a 89 mph fastball.

Jury is still out with me on this game. I need to give it more play time.
