Trop is trash. Been there, just awful. Even the parking lot was torn up. Just sad.

Can you imagine the possibilies of a brand new stadium in a beautiful place like Tampa Florida, especially if you got it near the water. Outdoor stadium, tons of palm trees, hell even some orange trees behind the outfield wall. Maybe add a waterfall if it wasn't directly on the water.

The options in my opinion are endless.

Yes this was 1993 or so IIRC.

The Giants almost came to Toronto too in '76.

I would really like to see the Rays get a new stadium. IMO the stadium is important to a team's identity and Tropicana doesn't strike to me as a suitable stadium for the Rays.

I really hope they can get one and also start stringing together some successful seasons.

yes stadium is ****e, but the problems go beyond the stadium...there will never be winning in that division for anyone other than NY or Boston for a long time, it seems.

the Os and Jays are chronic headcases now...

....I guess they should just contract the Jays, Rays, and Orioles and make it a two team division.

At least Blue Jays ownership will spend the money. Unfortunately they got a boob of a GM right now.

Yup, it's a dump. It's typically ranked in the same territory as the Metrodump when lists of stadiums are made (at or near the bottom).
