Re: How is OOTP5?
I downloaded about two hours ago.
First impressions:
It's pretty good, even with the beta version of the real rosters. The rosters out right now include every MLB player, and about 10 minor leaguers for each team.
There should be a full version of all the minor league players within a week or two.
It takes a while to get used to the new layout (if you've played previous OOTP's). But, the interface is very clean, moves quickly, and has a ton of new reports.
I've only simmed a couple of weeks worht of a season, but from what I can see, stats are very accurate.

Re: How is OOTP5?
Just played it for about three hours. Mostly messing around with the new options and simming seasons and stuff like that. I'll import my ootp4 league next probably. The interface is definetely different, but in a very good way. Really looks clean. It comes with three different "skins" and their all pretty cool looking. Not sure which one I like best yet though. Simmed stats look good. Almost everything is linkable so you dont have to search all over if your looking for somone. Its cool to read about so and so throwing a no-hitter and being able to click on his name and check out his statsComment

Re: How is OOTP5?
I had never played OOTP before today, and I must say it's really cool. It's really hard to make a trade unlike Baseball Mogul. For example, I tried getting Rod Barajas from the Diamondbacks, but they wouldn't take Hundley, Deshields, and some good AA player. Arizona was very stubborn; they wouldn't take anyone but Bellhorn. Then I tried getting Ben Petrick, but Colorado demanded I give them a star player like Lieber or Alou.
Overall so far it's a great game.Comment
