    Home Run King

Just wondering if anyone has reviewed Home Run King for GC? Saw it on the shelf at Best Buy and was wondering if it was any good?

Never played it but It looks pretty similar to World Series 2k1 for the Dreamcast which I thought was good.

    Gamespot gave it a 7.1
    IGN gave it a 6.2

i have it and at the highest difficulty setting, it's not a slugfest like the name might imply. if you can pick it up for $20 or less, it might be worth it. i only bought it because it was $20, and although not even close to perfect, i was pleasantly surprised.

Absoutely the best batting animations you'll ever see.
On the Mets, Alomar and Vaughn are perfect. I don't know how they did it.

once you got past a few defensive quirks.....which were very minor

this game had so much ambiance....so much gusto.....

its worth $20 just for the homerun derby part of the game

i mean watching fans in boats go after a homer you just knocked into mcCovey cove....is PRICELESS

and the pither / batter duals were excellent

IMHO only high heat was a better baseball game last year....

but homerun king would keep calling me back long after i have had my fill of high heat

all in all at $20 or less it is an absolute STEAL

Don't forget the best Piazza ever. It wasn't only the stances, it was their exact swings. It still amazes me today.
