However once I started playing thats when the bottom fell out from underneath me. Here are some of the things that make this game below par:
1. On certain flyballs your player will appear to shoestring catch a routine flyball. And the ball actually looks like it hits the ground! This happens 2 or 3 times a game and looks terrible!
2. When batters swing and miss their head does a 90 degree turn towards the opposite field like. It's a very weird animation and must be seen to be understood. It looks really bad.
3. The players faces look great. Too bad the rest of the bodies have very narrow shoulders and just dont look right.
4. On certain flyballs and ground balls the ball disappears and never quite goes into the glove of a player. On one instance on a flyball my player caught the ball and it must have been 4 feet to the left of him but then the ball disappeared into his mit. This again happens many times a game.
5. There is little or no chance of turning any double plays. Even on routine grounders you can barely get anyone out.
6. Even though I hate home run cameras in general I thought Id give this game a shot. Unfortunately home run camera happend during EVERY home run I saw. A total of 12 for 12. And to add insult to injury most balls are off the screen so all you see is the sky. Absolutely awful..
7. Basically if you score a run, next inning the computer will too. Some sort of a comeback code in the following half inning alomst certainly exists..
8. Way too many over the shoulder catches by SS and 2B players. I can just see it now. Jeter in the studio helping them with that annimation. Then the whole Acclaim team falls in love with it that it must happen 2 or 3 times a game.
This is it for now. But these are very annoying things and I cant believe they were overlooked. MVP time..
