I couldn't stand it any longer so I bought an Xbox just so I could play this game. While there are many things I am amazed by, a few things are very disappointing.
We play manage only, and sometimes just do GM stuff and let the CPU vs. CPU play it out.
I have played 15 games.. 10 exhibition, 5 spring training under a new franchise. All of these games are CPU vs. CPU, or MO vs. CPU..
In all 15 games , We have never had a score higher than 3 to 2. There has never been more than a total of 15 hits per game. We started keeping track after the first 5 games because K's were excessive. 6 of the 15 have been extra innings. One went 16 inn.
We Ave. less than 7 ground balls per game. Ave 12 foul Pop outs per game and 16 total K's per game. 1 DP, every 3 games if that..
It is nearly impossible to get a hit to the outfield, these guys can run a mile and make catches over their head routinely that should have dropped for hit.
The majority of outs are pop-ups, far to many to the infield and fouls.
In all 15 games, We have never seen a runner try to stretch an extra base, Never have seen one thrown out or even a close play. One of the reasons for the low scores is because runners never score from second base on singles. If they do advance, there is never a play on them.
Is there something we are doing wrong. ???Is there something we can do to generate more hits and runs. I have even thought of going through each and every team and editing all the outfielders Range and Arm rating.. Cutting them down a couple of notches, hoping runners might try to advance with the weaker arms, and balls might get past the OF, if his range is cut.
There is simply no aggressive offense.!!! I want to love this game, It has all the features I have dreamed of, But lack of Ground balls, Pop ups to the infield and fouls and No offense is killing this very quickly.
Any suggestions. Is there something we can do to increase scores and offense.
Any help we be appreciated. I am going to play all day tomorrow and see if any thing changes.
And please, Don’t say Play the game Arcade style, as I have problems with my hands and simply can’t.
Maybe MO vs. CPU is just set to evenly.. I have tried all the levels. Don’t seem to make a difference. I realize that not many of you play in this mode, but maybe someone can help.
