    Roster problem

I've noticed that when you start a franchise, you use whatever roster you want. Thats fine and good. But when I loaded the rosters off my memory card to play an exhibition game, the rosters I loaded were the ones from my franchise, where 20 people were cut by cpu controlled teams. Has anyone else noticed this or is there a way to correct.

    Re: Roster problem

It seems like the computer will often cut star players or send them to the minors, no matter what (even if u try setting their lineups and rosters). Then they will call up these no name minor leaguers and give them lots of playing time.

Here is what i do to correct the computer's random decisions when u start a franchise:

I CONTROL all the teams. This may seem like a hassle but then YOU can control the computer's starting lineups and minor league movement. The only problem is that the bench players may not get much play time from the computer and you cannot get offered trades. Also, if you like calling up the minor leaguers for all the teams, this will be very tedious as you will have to do it manually. (HH should have given the computer better management skills!) But the postiives of controlling all the teams outweight the negatives IMO because you get to see more authentic lineups. Try it out...

Just out of curiousity, does anyone else play this way (w/ all HUMAN controlled teams?)?

            Oriole,

i"ve tied this too and it only works if you play that particular team, i've done exactly what you said and i tried to play with my team(yankees) and as soon as i put the cpu on the teams i adjusted it goes back to playing minor leagurs or bench guys instead of the starters, for instance rey ordonez is the starting ss for the rays, when i adjust the lineups the way you and i do it, ordonez is now in triple a , after i let the cpu handle them. if it works the way you described then why cant i play with the yankees, it makes me play with baltimore the first team that comes up when you modify, if you know how to get around this let me know i would appreciate it sjj2xs
