    Tribe after Haren?

There's a rumor floating around that the Indians are in discussions with the A's about a trade involving Danny Haren. That would give the Tribe a rotation of Sabathia, Carmona, Haren, Westbrook, and Byrd (if he's not suspended). It would be a good move to counteract what the Tigers have done (and as protection for CC's impending free agency). However, the fact that Haren is a much better first half pitcher than second half concerns me a little. I don't think I would give up top pitching prospect Adam Miller to get him.

Sure why not. Andrew Miller is a prospect and I don't want to be one of those people who over values prospects, even though the Indians have a good farm system.

Isn't Guiterrez part of the trade offer for Haren too? Or am I thinking of another trade (I think the possibility for Crawford)

Yeah I just read that the tribe is trying to trade for Haren, so are the Reds and I read the A's would rather trade him to the NL so they dont have to face him. The A's want Jay Bruce but so far the Reds are not willing to include him in the trade.

So if Cleveland gets Harden does that mean the Tigers have to give up the 2008 AL Central Division to Cleveland?

No, even with Harden I still think Detroit is the better team.
Adding Edgar Renteria, Willis and Cabrera is huge.
