HELP. How the heck do you release a player.Couldn't continue my Franchise

Ok, Started a franchise, I was the Tribe. 2 months into the season I Created 7 players after my self and my friends. They were in the free agency.

I sighned them from the FA. I had 2 blank spots on my roster. they all went to majors as there were 15 minors in each ML.

I tried to return to the menu and a screen came up that said. CLEVE has to many players in the Major leagues roster ( 5 )

I figured no problem, I would just release 5 players to the FA.. I searched for every way possible to find a way to release the players to the FA.. It was mot possible. i couldn't place them in the minors, because they were full. I couldn't just put them in the free agency because there were no Blank spots.
All I could do was excahange with another FA.. I couldn't get out of this menu until I lost 5 players.

After about an hr of trying everything i possibly could. I just had to turn the game off.. And I lost my 2 months of games. I was back to the beginning..

I have still not found a way to simply cut a player.. What the hell am i doing wrong.. This is my first console game ever. I bought an xbox just too play this game.

Hey Cleve, I am not sure, but I think you have to go to the GM desk and place him on waivers. If no one else knows, I will hop on to ASB and check it out in a sec.

I don't have the game yet (waiting for the ps2 version) but I might be able to help. Last year you were able to release players without signing a FA from the franchise value screen. Try hitting the help button on that screen to see which button to hit on XBox to cut them. Last year on ps2, it was R1.

You go to the "Adjust Roster" section and select the player you want to release...

Scroll to the right and when you get to the "Roster" column hit X and it will give you a choice of MLB, HM, LM, or release outright.

Hope that helps...took my awhile to find that one, too.

yeah it was confusing,but go to the roster mangement,and u can change the status of your guys,to hm,or lm,or even realease them.make sure u have 25 on your mlb,15 on hm and lm,just like the fellow above said.

Yes, this feautre is very improtant and also very easy to overlook.
I believe you hit the [] button when you have the MLB/HM/LM column highlighted.
