    Re: HH04= DAMN HARD

I played HH for PC(stopped after 2002). Anyways the graphics started getting me with HH. However I did have some great fun with HH. Are the graphics at least somewhat updated. Also last question! Are there plenty of different hit ball types...Choppers,high choppers, slow rollers etc..
    Thanks for the help/Info...

The graphics are much improved and I am anxoious to see the XBOX version. Are they as sharp as WSB or ASB no, but at least they are in the same ballpark now. I am seeing a lot of different hit types coming off the bat. Although I have yet to see a high chopper.

Let me know if you have any more questions, Boxer.

            Re: HH04= DAMN HARD

Thanks for the info man. I swore I would only buy 2 games this year. I picked WSBB and MVP(For the new pitcher batter interface). But now I am seeing all the good posts for ASBB and HH(Only count those posts from users that I trust). So now I'm feeling like I am missing something.
Money is not an issue so I could get them all but daaaaammmmmnnnn! I did not want to do that. I guess the ones I don't like I could give to nephew as to really see how the game plays etc..takes well over the 7 day return policy...

I used to do that every year. Now I know I don't have the will power and just know I will buy every game when they come out.

I've been getting smoked on All Star, regularly striking out between 10-14 times a game. The game is much harder than last years version. More batting practice needed for me.

Skyboxer, I was gonna pass this year on HH too, because of the old "been there done that feeling". But waiting on MVP and WSB(there goes a C-note on the 11th), I couldn't resist (or wait) and went ahead and got HH. Glad I did. Not only are the graphics better, but the animations have been extensively redone. This game has improved tremendously IMO.
Last nite ,I started Pedro against the D-Rays and Joe Kennedy(not a bad pitcher. I got back to back doubles by Hillebrand and Nomar for a run in the 6th. Pedro takes a no hitter to start the last of the 9th. (I've never had a no hitter in any game, and I've been playing since the late 80's) What happens, back to back singles, and now not only is the no hitter gone, but I'm in serious trouble. I bring the infield in,get a slow roller to 3rd,throw home,Varitek gets bowled over, but holds on. Pedro then gets a K,for the 2nd out. And on a 3-2 count, with runners on 1rst and 2nd, I get the final out on a running catch down the right field line to close it out. Yea, I'm hooked!!

Snaz that's exactly the kind of thing that's hooked me too.

I have been a HH PC player until HH2004. I remember people saying that the graphics in the PS2 version of HH2003 were alot better than in the PC version, but I can guarantee you that the HH2004 PS2 graphics are much better than the 2003 PC graphics. I'm sure they'll be a little better even on the X-Box. I love the graphics in Madden 2003 and NBA2K3, but even after playing them, HH2004's graphics don't make you go, "These are so bad I can't even stand to look at this game!".

I've noticed a very good variety of hit types in HH2004. In 2003, I thought there were too many linedrive HR's, but the majority of them I see now are the moonshot types, thus giving you a shot to at least get to the wall before it goes over. Also, I played my first non-grass game last night and I saw a hard hit ball hit the turf about 5-10 feet from homeplate and bounce all the way over the infield. Hadn't seen anything like that playing on grass.

I've seen popups all over the field, linedrives, bouncers, hits down the lines, balls curve into foul territory, etc. I think they've definitely done some work in this area.
