Having trouble with catching up to the ball

Is there a turbo button or anything so your fielders can get to the ball before it lands.

No I do not think there is....The simple reason for this is the design team had to make realistic play balancing issues due to last year's ease at which outfielders where able to chase down fly balls....This year it is very realistic in how this is now approached. It really forces you to take into consideration a player's range, speed, and glove. If you are finding way too many balls getting by your outfielders, it's time to look for a better ranged faster outfielder....This actually forces managers to also thing DEFENSIVE minded as well when they put together their team and lineups as well as consider the stadium dimmensions of the park their playing in.

I Have Darrin Erdstat in CF and he is roaming vaccum when it comes to tracking down hits in the gaps while my other 2 player's Hilgado and Mondesi are sub par and give up alot of gappers.....I actually had to replace one of them with my backup DeShields to improve my outfield range at the sacrifice of some power and the results paid off with a more solid defensive outfield for me.....The fact that this game forces you to make these deciscions this year is a nice boost in the realism department. Last year, I really didnt have these things to worry about because the fielders all seemed very similar, the catch radius' felt a little more forgiving and the outfields didnt feel as vast.

    Glad you brought this up

Might also want to move your outfielders deeper against some of the other team's hitters as well. Nothing you can do though if a no. 8 hitter gets a hold of one and takes it deep over your OFs.

I think the CPU's outfielders get too much of a jump on some balls that probably should go in the gap or should fall.

I dunno, its hard to say because I have seen alot more gappers this year then last year's version and I've also noticed some oufielders actually stand still for a few seconds before they attempt to track balls down as well. Perhap the jump they get on balls is directly related to their RANGE rating?....It would be nice to think so.
