Purchased the game today, and so far having a good old time. I havent owned a baseball game since Tommy lasorda on the genesis so many years ago. I am really digging the batter interface ( i wasnt too keen on the cursor batting from the movies i saw for ASB). Pitching is alot of fun, and the graphics are very much improved from past years that i have seen. That said, something that is irking me beyond beleif is the slowdown on some plays. I dont mind it as long as it doesnt affect gameplay, but when a batter is bunting and everything goes into slow mo, it really bogs the play down. Is there another camera angle that might make this go away or soemthing?
First game was exibition. My Marlins vs the Braves(raining in miami of course). Ended up playing on pro and won 2 - 0. Still trying to figure out all the menus and options, but the bottom line is that i am having fun. Being tense and not being sure what to pitch when your pitcher is behind on the count and you got a man on 1st and 2nd is quite a thrill.
I was gonna wait to get WSB, since i really like what VC has done with the ESPN license, but i figure this is as good a baseball game as any. Its a keeper
