Although I don't agree with Congress involving itself with baseball (what a waste of money IMO). I'm glad to see them put some teeth behind their congressional sessions.

Seriously, this is messed up. The steroids allegations were acquired through hear-say, so in fact in a court room it won't hold much teeth so therefore the Mitchell Report is a sham. BS!

I can't help but wonder why this is given priority over other issues facing this country? I mean it's obvious the government wants to see Clemens fall flat on his face. But why should taxpayers care about this more than other issues?

Also some text of Clemens' 60 minutes interview came out. He said that he wasn't injected with HGH/Roids but rather vitamins and something else (I forget). First of all, who the hell shoots vitamins up their arse?

Whats also hilarious is Mike Wallace's hard hitting interviewing!

When asked by Wallace if McNamee had ever injected him with any drugs, Clemens responds: "Lidocaine and B-12. It's for my joints, and B-12 I still take today."

Clemens calls the accusation "ridiculous" and says he "never" used any banned substances.

"Swear?" asks Wallace.

I think there is a legitimate question whether the issue of investigating baseball player steroid use is wise usage of the governments time. I'm not saying steroids should be legal, or that players should be allowed to take them. I'm saying there are higher priority issues in our society than this. Where is the problem?

Hmmm.....been listening to sports talk radio particularly since the names came out in the report. It's not surprising or amazing at how soooooooooooooooooooooo many listeners, talkies, host and apologists are circling the wagon and making all types of excuses as to why this whole thing is a 'waste of time'. Those who are guilty, surely didn't think it was a waste of time when day after day and month after month they kept it going with talk about Bonds...

Yes, Bonds went before a grand jury and the government says he lied. The government will have it's day to attempt to PROVE he lied.

For the last two weeks, folks were almost KNOWINGLY believing that there was no way Roger would be called before Congress. In part, because Congress itself, had sent out word themselves. Well, it's gonna be show time now and I can't wait.

Like I told countless people when Bonds was obviously going to be THE ONE MOST wanted to bury...I'd said be careful of what you ask for, because there WILLl be that one day when YOUR hero is in the same shoes, and it won't be pretty. It's gonna be a nice thing to see so many grown men getting their boxers in a bunch. Why do you think in the last two years so many players in MLB had nothing negative to say about Bonds (except Turk Wendell, Curt Schilling and Russ Springer)? Becuase they ALL knew about the 'big secret'. It ain't cool for the pot to call the kettle black........

I hope the questioning between Roger, Pettitte, Knoblauch and the trainer, puts some irreversible and searing heat on Roger's ***....

Then I will take note of what the hypocrites, apologists and folks with agendas have to say then.
And yes, I am chomping at the bit, and I'm NOT ashamed to say so. The double standard has been in effect and it's going to REALLY raise it's ugly head...just watch.

Why? I've heard, but hadn't read on it...but there's something about the Anti-Trust issue that they can hold against MLB.

I'll add this, if anyone from day one....with the hearings involving McGuire, Sosa, Palmiero & Schilling...felt that the Gov't had gone too far then, then I'll say they're raising a valid question. And they're consistent. But....

for the legions out there who foamed at the mouth back then...drooled at the mouth when Sheff, Giambi and Bonds testified about what they didnt know or what they knew...and NOW they're having a problem with the Gov't stepping in, then they need to get a grip.
