    High Heat Still Lacking Something?

I don't know if it's just me or what. Don't get me wrong. I rented this game and have enjoyed how the computer is actually competitive. In terms of Baseball Playability realism, this game is the one to get. But how come it doesn't feel like baseball. The CPU AI is awesome in this game. But for some reason, whether I'm barely holding on a 2-0 lead with my Rangers over the A's going into the 9th, it still feels like going into the 5th inning. There is just no atmosphere whatsoever in this game. I hope when MVP comes out and I rent it, the CPU AI is the same as HH2004 but the atmosphere kicks ***.

But still, you gotta love the actual competitiveness from the CPU. There's no cheese in this game and so far no flawed AI either. At least none that I've seen or heard of (and I don't want to hear of flawed AI either, it just ruins the game).

No atmosphere. Sounds a lot like real life baseball.

There's plenty of atmosphere in real baseball, too bad you have to be at the ballpark to feel it. Well I guess you could make sure you have a few beers and hotdogs, nachos, popcorn before you fire HH up! That should make it more fun!

Yes, great game, but a bit drab. It does need atmosphere, a bunch. I love the game, but maybe 3DO needs a new crew. Same umpire, same exact announcing, same crowd, same hecklers.......

Yeah, seems like Acclaim, really had the right formula this year. HH will still get some run though!

This is the reason I traded in my HH last year for ASB, no atmosphere. It appears that the same problem exists this year. I love the game, it's just missing that necessary flair.
It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

                            Animal....you read my mind.

I was enjoying the simulation, the new throwing and swing-and-miss animations, etc. but it just felt like there was a void in the game. It has everything to do with sounds....the sound of the bat tapping the plate, the sound of homeruns, the sound of announcers, things don't get louder towards the end of the game...the lack of ambiance hurts the game.

Of note, however, is that this does not seem to be a problem playing HH on PC (currently playing 2003). Ambiance and sound for PC actually seem lots better!
