How do you know how it plays? Also IMO it looks much better than Triple play

From the videos it looks like WSB has the best raw graphics (lighting, bump mapping) , but MVP has the best player models and animations. I can't wait for these games.

Boy,I love these types who can tell how something plays......without even playing it.

That's funny, you roll your eyes about people judging games before playing it, yet say one line above that MVP plays like TP. Little hyprocritical i think.

There is really no reason MVP should play like TP. They don't share a SINGLE line of code. They are completely different games, with completely different developers. The only thing in common is the publisher.

I don't know where you got your info, but there's no way MVP doesn't have TP code in it. What engine did they use? How many times have you heard of a baseball game being created from scratch in 9 months? That's all the longer a development cycle is.

I got my info from an interview with the producer, or director, or someone heavily involved with the game. Sounds like a pretty good source to me.

I read the interview from one of the developers. He stated that they have been working on the game for a year and a half. He also stated that the old-team that worked on TP is no-more. That more attention will be paid to the EA beaseball titles. And that there was no carry over code from the first game. Hence the "new" name for a "new" gaming franchise MVP>

Here's an excerpt from a interview with the Producer and Game designer taken right here off this site:

"Operation Sports: How long has the game been in development?

Brent/Jason: When it goes out the door it will have been over a year and a half.

Operation Sports: How big is the development team?

Brent/Jason: The team has varied in size at different points of the project. It has been as high as 70+ at peak times, and has averaged around 60.

Operation Sports: Why did EA feel that a name change was needed?

Brent/Jason: The old Triple Play series had a good run, but basically ran its course. This is a completely new game from the ground up, and does not share one single line of code from TP. MVP Baseball 2003 is completely new in every respect and deserved its own name.

Operation Sports: Why was the game given to a new development team?

Brent/Jason: EA wanted the game done in-house so that we had as much control as possible over getting it done right."
