Who Should bat 3rd in Toronto Blue Jays Line up

This is a question that wont have a right answer at least untill june but if u were at the helm who would u bat third?

    Vernon Wells
    Alex Rios
    Frank Thomas
    Scott Rolen

I personally would put Rios there for now and wells batting 5th, but if Wells bounces back like hes supposed to now that hes 100% id switch them up

I can't believe Wells was so bad last year. I'd probably have Rios 3rd and Thomas 4th.

Wells definitely against lefties...dude completely destroys them.

Against righties its a very good question. I'd actually put Wells there again. The Jays just need to hope that Thomas can start out the year hitting well so V-Dub sees fastballs. If he does, he'll repeat his 2006 year. If he doesn't, and pitchers once against exploit Wells' inability to hit anything close to a breaking pitch, then Wells will struggle once again. Oh, and my projected lineup:

      Eckstein - SS
      Rios - RF
      Wells - CF
      Thomas - DH
      Overbay - 1B
      Rolen - 3B
      Stairs - LF
      Hill - 2B
      Zaun - C
      Blue Jays, Blackhawks, Auburn

        yeah thats true about lefties
However Hill batting 8th wont happen/shouldnt happen

and overbay and rolen are like a small version of wells and rios depends who does better but theres no way id have "O" batting 5th unless he had an unbeliveable spring he sux right now man.

Yea...I had him in a MLB fantasy league, and drafted him high thinking he would have a super year. I thought I had the best OF in that league w/ Manny, Wells, Bonds, Cuddyer, and Victorino. Wells killed me though.

That's a good lineup but I see it this way

              Eckstein - SS
              Rolen -3B
              Wells - CF
              Thomas - DH

              Rios - RF
              Hill - 2B
              Zaun - C
              Johnson - LF

This would give the Jays 2 leadoff hitters in the lineup. When Stairs is starting i'd switch him and Zaun in the lineup.

                Toronto should bat Eckstein last.

So then Reed Johnson would have to lead off then?

Re: Who Should bat 3rd in Toronto Blue Jays Line up

                    Heres mine personally...

                    Eck's
                    Rolen
                    Rios
                    Hurt
                    Wells
                    Overbay
                    Hill
                    Zaun
                    Johnson

I'd keep my eye on Hill he could potentially be the #2 if his AVG stays above 3.00, When stairs is playing not johnson I'd have him bat 6th overbay 7th Zaun 8th Hill 9th

Zaun ALWAYS 8th hes the weakest I still cant believe Jays didnt get a catcher this offseason, Zauns not terrible but hes not much

Eckstein gets on base better than anyone else on the team. Yeah he has no power, but he's a good leadoff hitter for us.

That being said, if Johnson starts, Eckstein should hit 9th lol. I just don't think he will except against lefties, where I'd go:

                      Johnson
                      Rios
                      Wells
                      Thomas
                      Rolen
                      Hill
                      Overbay
                      Zaun
                      Eckstein

I do think Hill will hit 8th...there's nowhere else for him to go if Stairs starts. Our lineup has a ton of depth.

Eckstein is just a very poor baseball player. I want my worst hitter getting the fewest at-bats.

If he can get on base 35% of the time, he can slug .320 for all I care.

Then I guess you don't care about ever winning many games.

Hes not THAT bad, isnt his career AVG around 280 something? thats all that matter AVG and on base %
Would u rather have Jonny Mac hitting there? lol
either way we all know IF reed bounces back (which i doubt) he would be the lead off guy with Eckstein going to the 9 hole most likely at least we have options... STILL SHOULD HAVE SIGNED KENNY LOFTON THOUGH!
