Whoa whoa. There must have been some of you that have said "if I were innocent, I would scream from the mountaintops of my innocence." Yet, now that Clemens is effectively "screaming from the mountaintops", he's still obviously guilty because he's doing the exact thing some of you wanted him to do!? I don't get it.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's guilty, but at least he's TRYING to prove his innocence, as opposed to others who still use the "didn't know what I was taking" excuse.

From a prosecutorial standpoint, the evidence is useless without a documented chain of custody no matter what the vials, syringes, etc. contain....but it seems congress and their witch hunt probably dont care about that and neither does a large amount of the general public.

I think he see where going the quiet route got Bonds, so he is going the other route.

Bonds was a client of Balco, like Marion Jones and Giambi...Bonds was a part of a criminal investigation into Balco. Its completely different.

I guess you're right. Instead of saying he didn't know what he was taking, he's saying he was taking B-12 and lidocaine. Assuming he's guilty here, lying about what you were taking, and saying you don't know what you were taking, well there isn't much of a difference in my mind.

i honestly cant freaking believe that people would buy this as possible "evidence". Its ridiculous.

Clemens said he is relieved that McNamee pulled this latest "evidence" **** all of a sudden, and I dont blame him. This puts the situation into some perspective on what this whole thing is probably about.

I heard somewhere that Roger more or less made an under the table offer to McNamee a while ago that he'd pay the guy off to be quiet about it. Apparently McNamee has a very sick child and that's why he blabbed to the FBI about the whole thing as he didn't want to go to jail.

Personally I think this evidence is pretty damning and if it turns out that it is indeed Clemens blood and other such things then Clemens is in deep doo doo because he told the comittee behind closed doors that he never did roids or anything of that nature. He more or less lied through his teeth if this evidence is correct.

lol are you kidding me?

gauze and needles that a guy has kept in his garage or someplace for 8 years? It wouldnt be called evidence in any courtroom in this country.

the reason it was brought up was obviously for the purpose of public opinion, because they KNOW it isnt admissable legally. It seems it has worked for you. That was easy.

btw, why would he keep something like that for so long in the first place? This does not pass the smell test

If it's not admissable at all why would the FBI take it then? for ish and giggles?

Also I can see why he kept that stuff in case something like this happens.

I don't understand why the "outrage" on the belief of these new happenings.

If there is DNA on the syringes that point to Clemens... what else is it going to take to believe him? A picture of Clemens bending over with his *** showing?

Of course they are going to take anything they want to give them. That doesnt mean they are going to use it as evidence. Just because he gives them something doesnt mean it's admissable. Someone needs to explain to you what evidence is. I dont think you understand this particular situation.

You don't need to use that kind of tone with me. I know what evidence is and if this isn't evidence then what is? Let's say it does have Roger's DNA, are they going to withhold it? I highly doubt it.

Yes, i've seen questionable "evidence" used by prosecutors but those are usually on the state or local level. This is the feds, they're not going to screw around with questionable material.
