Could someone please explain to me why everyone hails the gameplay/graphics of WSB? Last year when I bought the game it became boring to me. Everything in the game is random and really has no rhyme or reason. The overall gameplay and ball physics also do not make any sense at all. Maybe I missed something, but I have been playing baseball for twelve years and never have i had a ball float on the same plain to a fielder like it does in WSB. It is the same way with pitches- the floating aspect. Every batter in World Series also has a very very very F*cked up swing. The shoulders are all wrong, swings are jerky, and the swings are rediculously fast compared to the pitch speed. In my Atlanta Braves franchise, I found it very hard to hit at first. This wasn't because I wasn't good at the game, it's because the hitting takes no skill at all. There is no way of telling where the pitch is going to go or what it will do. If you play a friend and throw a pitch low in the dirt, you can strike them out pretty much every time because the ball looks as if its going to be a strike. They should fix the strike-zone, and make it easier to judge where a pitch is going to be. As with the graphics. WSB was simply beautiful looking, but not beautiful. It was an amazing display of graphics, but not baseball graphics. It amazes me how programmers can edit in faces but leave out details like glove size, bat size, and player scaling. Every glove in WSB looks like a first basemens mit, or a CF's glove. I know everyone loves this game but no one has really ever given me much detail including all of the issues while supporting their like of the game. Hopefully this year's WSB will fix these points, but from one players standpoing, this game just isn't real baseball. Arcade and fun baseball maybe, but not real baseball.

give me a break...WSB is the best all around in my option and I have allstar and I think as of right now thats the best game out until I see WSB.....By the way tell me how you think MVP is going to be the best. pleasegive it up EA....sucker

I agree with a lot of what he said. I have never seen a baseball game that looked that good but so bad at the same time. He really nailed it when he said the swings look jerky. Another thing that I had with the animations, where the trowing animations. They were slow almost seeming unresponsive at times, especially on double plays. I am not a WSB basher but the game got stale with me. The announcing was another thing that was horrible. I had to mute it, robinson sounds like he is bored and makes you bored also. Horrible.Comment

He is right.
While World Series Baseball games have beautiful graphics there is something odd about them. I have always felt they move kind of stiff myself.
However, and this is a BIG however, World Series Baseball has the best graphics of any games out right now (other than MVP). That being said its tough to rip on something that is the best.
I mean, I can see what he is saying but the alternatives are even worse!Comment

that was last year this is a new you you guys are making it sound like you have it already and played it...you havent so dont judge from the movies on any site wait until the game comes out and then you can judge for your self...I dont know how you can base anything on movies, or from last years game come on people think before you write.....Plus I think WSB we be the best anyways I said think because i have ASB and its a damn great game.... Plus thats why its called 2k3 because it the new title and those things are fixed..Comment

I really like the crispness of WSB graphics this year. I think the batter animation is a little off but no worse than High Heat's batters. MVP's batting animations look great but their fielding animation doesn't look as sweet as WSB. Especially during a double play. All of these impressions have come from the game movies because I only played HH last year. And since WSB and MVP's graphics are both beyond my expectation I think gameplay will determine the real winner.
