    Baserunning help needed

I am having a hard time with baserunning lately. The whole push the the base you are at and the Y button thing isn't working. Does anybody know a way to send one baserunner without sending the other runner. I will have a runner on second and hit a single and to send the runner home I have to send the runner to second and he gets thrown out. I need desperate help.

Hold down Y and THEN press the base the runner is on.

Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try later tonight or tomorrow. I was doing it wrong the whole time.

so that would be Y and left(third) on the stick? Baserunning is killing me too, blowing too many scoring opportunities.

                On the D-Pad.

And 'B' to send runners back.

Both the stick and the d-pad work. The thing for me is adjusting to selecting the base the runner is ON, not going to -- that's still backwards to me. Especially since it's that way for sending the runner back

This is one area of the game that i think really needs adjusting. The controls are just too clunky.

According to the manual, it says to press the d-pad in the direction of the base the runner is on, then press Y. So if you were trying to score from 2nd on a base hit, you would press and hold up, then press Y. It's not a natural reaction, but it does work. Warning though, i still find it rather hard to score from second on a base hit.

I saw a screenshot for MVPs baserunning, and it looks pretty slick. Select one of the buttons corresponding to the runner (X,Y,B), then press the d-pad to the base you want the runner to go. That seems more natural.
