The thing that worries me about MVP is that if you master the pitching meter (which we would all do after a while if we play it with any frequency) then you could make every pitch perfect. I think that the WSB system is better (in fairness I haven't played either game) I think that the whole pitching system of a game needs to be random, because if you allow a way for a "perfect pitch" no matter how hard you make it players will eventually be able to do it consistently

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

good point, that could become a problem if i start throwing no hitters at will because i have perfect control over every pitch.

I think I will rent both first even though I want a game ASAP. I like the fact that WSB fixed almost every problem I had with it last year its like Sega listened to our complaints. MVP looks great but since this is its first year there will be things that will be wrong with it and it won't be as polished as WSB. Too bad WSB doesn't have player modles or the choice would probably be easier.

Is WSB's pitching system comparable to HH's?

Not in the slightest bit. WSB's pitching model is probably closest to ASB's, with the only difference being that if you let go of the stick while moving the pitch icon around, the icon will spring back to the middle position. In WSB, there is a variable pitching option (3 or 4 different settings), which allows the locations to be more random (ie you will not always throw the pitch exactly where you set the icon).

It sounds like HH has the better pitching/batting interface for my tastes
