Intrest in HH2004 for PC is amazingly low!

Is it just me, or is interest in HH for the PC at the lowest point it's been in years...on the eve of the day 3do will relase what may be the best version of the game in years. I find this ironic.

I say interest is low b/c i compared how many people post here aabout the PC version compared to last year - a decline of about 75%.

But what really got me was when I went to baseball sim central, wher HH PC post have been overwhelming the last few years leading up to new releases. This year it is so dry.
There are post there, but nothing like in 2001 or 2002 or even 2003 when everyone knew that the game was just a roster upgrade.

Where are all the, "The game coumes out tommorrow and I can't sleep posts?"

Here are a list of reasons why it's not so hot this year:
- No Manage mode only feature.(MY REASON WHY I'M NOT BUYING IT)

- Strictly a console port.

- No mouse support for menus.

- Every other baseball video game(MVP, ASB, WSB) is getting much better this year, graphically and gameplay-wise

There are various others but High Heat baseball was an exclusive on the PC. Until they started to get into the 2nd generation console market. Then 3DO abandoned their loyal PC base. Not knocking the 2nd generation console but I liked High Heat when it was just exclusively for the PC. Now it's all backwards. Instead of porting from the PC to the console it's porting from console to PC. That's why 3DO will not be getting any of my money this year.

I am gettinng it! I would get it for XBOX, but the PC mods are just too good for me.

They didn't bother with Manager-only mode because it would have been a waste of time. Other games (OOTP, etc.) are designed for managing and they do it so well, why bother with it in HH this year. Polls in the past (well, maybe not polls, but message boards) showed that the majority of gamers didnt care about HH in Manager mode.

P.S. This game isnt a "console" port. It was designed for the PC and then downgraded for PS2 (and to a lesser extent the XBOX). Its got all the intricate franchise modes, etc. the PC versions of the past supported. It also has the abiltiy to be patched (I know you can download rosters for XBOX but I highly doubt you will be able to download patches).

Well I care about manage mode and maybe I'm not in the majority but there is a significant amount of people of do play manage-only mode.

If this game was built for the PC then please tell me why there is no mouse support for a PC game? Even the Madden Football games for the PC had mouse support and they were just ported games from the console version. Maybe I might be missing something here but can you name me a PC game created in the last 3 years that doesn't have mouse support?

It is a PC port to Console port game

HH is the only BB game that I have played since HH2001. Now I am waiting to see what the other games offer before I buy a game for my XBOX
