Driving me nuts!
I'm working on my 1930 rosters (probably will only do the Yanks, Cards, and big names on the other teams). I'm creating the players one at a time. I create a player which puts him into free agency. Then I "trade" the current starter at that position for my newly created free agent. Sometimes I get the "contraint violation" message and I can't make the trade. If I mess around awhile and juggle the players' positon, I can eventually get the trade accepted. Save the roster. I go to open it up again AND THE UNIFORM NUMBERS ARE CHANGED ON THE PLAYERS I CREATED! So I have to change them all back and save again....which works until I create a new player then it starts all over.
This is really irritating and the one thing that spoils an otherwise fantastic game. I'll try just editing existing players, but that doesn't always work (for example, Earle Combs batted left and threw right...I don't believe any current Yankee outfielder does that).
I'm not talking franchise or season modes...just for exhibition use only. I wish Acclaim would let us create and edit the rosters and lineups at will.
