Trading
I am the White Sox in my franchise. I have the 3rd update from geekrosters.com. I wanted to trade for one of Roy Oswalt, A.J. Burnett, Sorianno, or Vlad. I offer my top 4 players Mags, Colon, Konerko, and Beurhle. They declined all of them. Anyone else fnd it hard to trade. If you have traded for any of these guys please tell me what you had to give up for them!!Tags: None -
Re: Trading
I haven't attempted a trade yet, but the trades you're looking at don't make a lot of sense. The only one I see you having even a remote chance at getting is Burnett. There is no way that Oswalt would be traded. Mostly because he's just as good as Buehrle and Colon, and they're set in the outfield and first base. Vlad and Soriano wouldn't even be considered for any of the players you're talking about, unless you were to do two for one. -

Trading is tough...the thing that gets me more than anything is there isn't a "negotiate" button. If they like the trade, it's made, even if you wanted to try to give up less. But yes, all in all, I find it very tough to trade.

This is an area that was definitely better in the PC version of HH2003. Not only is there no "Negotiate" button, but once you find out the other team will accept your offer, there's NO way to back out of it. This makes trading (with CPU confirmation turned ON) an incredible pain in the ***. There really ought to be a confirmation pop-up, once you see they are willing to accept your offer.
For those not familiar with the PC versions, if you select a player you're interested in acquiring, you can hit the "Negotiate" button, and it brings up a list of your players that the CPU will accept for his player. Anytime you offer a player not on the list, it can potentially change his 'demand' list, to include more players he'd be willing to take, like in a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 deal.Comment
