What team will be the surprise team this year? I'm thinking the Pirates will. ANd please answer the question, not mind the post.

I think the Mets will have a good year, but it shouldnt be a suprise because of there players, The Other team I would watch out for would be Florida. Theyre young, Lowell is one hell of a third basemen, I think they could land the wildcard.

I am going with Toronto as the surprise team.

I would also say the Rangers if they weren't in the AL West and had one really good starting pitcher.

This weeks baseball weekly says the mets, white sox, and expos will be surprise teams this year. i do think the mets and white sox will be solid teams this year.

If the White Sox do good, it shouldn't be much of a "surprise". Most baseball people and publications are picking them to be neck and neck with Minnesota all year.
