Yeah, that won't happen. If the Dodgers make it that far it would be because they are smart and playing Kemp and Eithier, not by giving AB's to the out-machine extrordonaire that is Pierre.

I'm a big Pierre fan, he is a player every team wishes they had. Sure his arm strength isn't that great, but he can get to any ball. Anything can happen though, look in 02 I think it was Adam Kennedy hit 3 hr's in one game.

          Career OBP: .348
          Career SLG: .374
          OPS+: 84

Yeah, I definitely want that type of production on my team.

Also Pierre is terrible in CF, he looks like he is lost half the time and takes terrible angles to the ball.

Maybe i'm the only one who always has liked his style, he is a slap hitter, and he is a player who is a second half player which is why I could see him break out in the 2nd half. His Stolen Bases are something that are taken for Granted, but important.

Those numbers make him look better than he actually is. The last three years look like this...

                  .287/.329/.365 OPS+ 80

I'm sure teams like that five hopper to the cutoff man.

I'm glad the Dodgers overpaid for him.

In a league that has Johan Santana, Jake Peavy, Brandon Webb, Dan Haren, Brad Penny and Carlos Zambrano Wainwright would have to have one hell of a year to even garner consideration against that kind of competition.

And one small note on the Brendan Ryan/Troy Tulowitzki debate: it may not matter. Given Tony LaRussa's affinity for veteran players Cesar Izturis will likely get every possible chance to win the Cardinals SS job

Wainwright is the Cy Young, AND Pujols the MVP?

Come on, man, just come out and admit you're just being a homer. Even if the Cardinals were clearly the BEST team in the NL, that would be a tough thing to accomplish, much less predict.

It happened with Carp and Pujols. Noone expected carp to be much, wainright was close to consideration last season.

IMO.....no way the Dodgers win the West. I've got them finishing fourth with the D'backs winning.

The White Sox bullpen is terrible, and how does Nick Swisher not fit this team, let alone ANY team? Also, "Soxs" is not a word.

pierre is awful and the contract he got from the dodgers may be one of the worst ever he doesn't deserve half of that. he's an awful fielder and an awful hitter and he gets the most ABs on the team for god knows what reason
