What is your opinion on the "extra" stuff on this game?

I would like to hear what you guys feel about all the extra features and game modes and which do you like most and least. i am really enjoying the stadium tours and sceneos. also the new save game is a life saver

The Extras are fantastic. Absolutely.

I suppose my favorite would be Expansion mode. It's just so huge and so perfect.

It's not doing it for me on the field right now, but everything outside of the game itself is really A+.

They really out did themselves with the extras in this game. I've got mixed feelings though since, as great as the stadium tours, scenario mode, multi-media clips of Buck O'Neill, bobble head cheat, etc. all are (and they are great), I do wish that they would've cleaned up the animations just a little. A partial new graphics engine (the hitters look great, but the fielders could use some updating) combined with ASB's existing extras would probably result in my scheduling a week's vacation around its release next year.

I have to agree with Hobbes...While i think the extras such as Scenearios, Player Cards, Spanish play by play, Negro Leauges make the game more marketable and robust as a package, I personally would have much rather they focused on cleaning up and tightening the motion capturing animations and fixing alot of their motion transitions and ball-to-glove collision engine in the fielding areas. If the fielding was a little more fluid and cleaner, this game would be a flat out world beater.

i also liked looking at the stadiums in expansion mode. i finally picked the drubel county stadium i think. i spelt that wrong but oh well. i also like the options for franchise but i don't like all the rules and stuff.

I love the extra features! I think they add a lot to the game. Fortunately, i'm also enjoying the gameplay. If the gameplay was no good, then the features are all for naught. However, i think there are enough extra features in the game now. For next year they should work less on extra features and more on tweaking the gameplay (which i don't think is bad; it sounds like it's improved over last year).
