I was at the 1995 playoff game between the Yanks and the Mariners that the alocholic drunk driving murderer Jim Leyritz won on a home run... I left the game early, though, so I don't know if I can lay claim to being "there" for the game. I was on the train station platform when the homer was hit. I could feel the explosion of the crowd.

Opening Day at Jacobs Field 1994 (the first game at the Jake)- Randy Johnson was pitching a no-no for six innings until Sandy Alomar broke it up. The Tribe won it on a 10th inning single by Wayne Kirby. It was an appropriate beginning to the Jacobs Field Magic.

2nd place-Game 4 of the 2007 ALCS-After beating up the Sox and taking a 3-1 lead with our two aces up next, we thought we were headed to the Fall Classic...

3rd place-Opening Day Cleveland Stadium 1993-A 19 inning game in which we had first row seats behind the visitors dugout. The Cleveland police paraded on the field before the game and a horse took a dump on the field. The Tribe lost, but it was a lot of fun.

        3 games come to mind.

I was at Jacobs Field when McGwire hit the Budweiser sign in left field. Never heard silence, thud, then cheers like that in my life.

Fausto Carmona making his minor league debut for the Lake County Captains and watching him pitch the entire season as an 18 year old.

Game 3 of the 2001 Playoffs against Seattle, we won 17-2 and it was my bachelor party.

Late may, 2006 ( i cant remember if it was the 21st, or the 23rd), Comerica Park. Tigers vs Reds. Saturday night game.

My brother and I were planning on going to this game all week, but we procrastinated in ordering tickets. When I went to order them online that morning, there were hardly any available. I kept trying and trying, and finally I got 3 tickets 6 rows from thee field, just off the visitors dugout.

Anyways, the Tigers jumped out to a 5-2 lead. In the 6 or 7th, Ken Griffey Jr laces a grand slam off of Joel Zumaya, putting the reds up 6-5. It says that way until 2 out in the 9th. I told my brother to turn his cap inside out, and put it on backwards, as a rally cap, and I did the same.

With 2 strikes on him, Curtis Granderson homers to the left field corner, tying the game at 6, and sending the crowd into a frenzy. The Tigers ended up winning in the bottom of the 10th inning, on an error.

The win put the Tigers into first place, where they would stay until the final day of the season that year.

For some reason, that game was on TV up here. I remember watching it...that was a helluva game.

Re: Best game attended in person?

I got the chance to watch the 2006 NLCS game 7, Mets vs Cards in Shea Stadium. I was sitting all the way up in the Upper Deck and it was the loudest, most exciting game I've ever seen. I got the opportunity to go to some games in the 2000 World Series (Yanks vs Mets) and those were loud but the fact that the Yanks were killing us down the spirits a bit.

Also, my greatest memory of the game despite the fact we lost (on that Wainwright curveball) will always be the Endy Chavez catch. The stadium was audibly concerned when Rolen put the swing on that ball and they were quiet when it looked to be a homerun. I remember watching Endy all the way and he got a great jump on the ball and I told my uncle "I think he caught it!" and then the fans went BERSERK. The upper deck shook like nothing I had ever experienced before and I began to have visions of World Series glory. Nothing was stopping us. Oops.

Here's a Youtube of the catch from the upper deck. It's not my video (I was sitting upper deck behind home plate), but it still gave me goosebumps, even now.

This is the baseball catch I'll be telling my grandkids about in 50 years, and despite the bitter taste of defeat, I will never forget the game.

My cousin was at that game too. He said he doesn't remember the last few innings because he and his friends had been enjoying adult beverages for all of the game.

I've seen many good and weird games. A few that come to my mind right off the bat have been Mulder pitching 10 innings and outdualing clemens 1-0. It was the first time the cards got to lidge. Another good game was last year against the reds, it was weird, Josh Hamilton lead the game off with a hr, Edwin Encarnation had an inside the park hr, the first at new bush, Aaron Miles fouling off a pitch that nails Juan Encarnation in the eye, Rick Ankiel hitting a grand slam, to give the cards the lead, TLR getting the most wins in cards history as a manager, and it brought the cards to I think 2 games out lol. It was a fun game. Been to a lot of games in my life, but these are probably the two best so far.

The box score of the game played on April 23, 2005 at the Busch Stadium II, between the Astros (0) and the Cardinals (1).

Roy Oswalt comes in to pitch in the 10th and Pujols leads off with a home run. Very entertaining game.

Wasn't that like the game before the all star break, that was a scary game if I remember right, we had a few balls barely land foul, and didn't Roy Oswalt get a double, but didn't touch first lol

that was the game jeter dove into the stands to catch the ball and was the 13-inning comeback win.

                          Been to plenty exciting games.

"Who is Karim Garcia" Game 3 of the 2003 ALCS

Game 3 of the 2003 ALDS, Nixon hit the walk-off vs. Rich Harden

Game 4 of the 2003 ALDS, David Ortiz hit a double to right over Jermaine Dye's against Keith Foulke in the bottom of the 8th. Garciaparra and Ramirez scored what would be the game-winning runs.

I was at Matsuzaka's Fenway debut. Ichiro vs. Matsuzaka in the first matchup of the game was electric.

Probably my favorite was July 29th, 2001 vs. the Chicago White Sox at Fenway. It was Nomar's return. He went 2-4 with a homerun and 3 RBI. His single in the 7th proved to be the game-winner. I've never heard Fenway louder than when he was announced as the SS/batting 3rd before the game.

The most electric I've ever heard Fenway before a game was when I was at Opening Day 2005 for the 2004 World Series ring ceremony.

Rod Barajas hits a walk-off to beat the Yankees. I also got homerun balls from Tony Clark and Bernie Williams. I wonder how many times that's happened.

I've attended a few good ones in person. But this classic always stood out in Oakland

Roger Clemens vs. Dave Stewart in a pitching classic.
