I love how you still have to position the cursor but you don't have 100% control over where it goes. I mean, with normal I just kept aiming for the gap and hitting them there. Now I'm getting a huge mix of hits. About the same mix as in HH.

Who else love the "classic" batting interface?
Great addition...(I didn't play last years so I don't know if it was there or not but I know it wasn't in ASB 2002)...

I haven't decided which way I like the batting cursor yet.
The 3-D one, you can place your hits almost too easy, and I don't necessarily like being able to choose to hit for Contact or Power, because you don't really do that in real life...if the ball makes good contact, it leaves.
For that reason, I think I will end up liking the Classic Cursor. I don't get to choose Contact or Power, and like you said, you don't have 100% control over where the ball is hit.
The jury is still out on Zone Batting for me...personally, I think we are more likely to see a more realistic number of foul balls and broken bats with the Classic Cursor, because you can miss by just a little bit (just like in real life). Zone Batting only has 9 zones to choose from.Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a ttoal jmulbe and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

Re: Who else love the \"classic\" batting interface?
I just switched to classic because you can hit just about every ball in the air using 3D. I started out on zone, but it got a little frustrating after a while, because the game seemed rather unforgiving if you chose the wrong zone (even if you were high and the ball was high-inside)“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Re: Who else love the \"classic\" batting interface?
I started with zone because I like that "uncluttered" natural look of the pitch coming in. I jusr switched to classic for the past 2 games and really like it. I was hitting more HR's with zone, but hitting with classic is more satisfying when you make perfect contactComment

Re: Who else love the \"classic\" batting interface?
I think classic is best cause I dont like knowing if Im hitting a grounder or fly.
Also playing with generated count. I strike out alot, but the games go quickly and the stats have been VERY realistic.Comment
