    Bonds to the Rays?

I guess this would get more fans in the seats...maybe.

So they can carry three DH's with Floyd/Gomes/Bonds? Haha let them.

If they don't mind spending the money it would be a great signing. We all know Cliff Floyd won't make it through the season healthy and Bonds can't play every day anyway. Their lineup would look something like:

      Crawford
      Baldelli (health?)
      Bonds
      Pena
      Iwamura
      Upton
      Bartlet?
      ???
      Navaro?

      I've seen worse.

I don't get it. This team has loads of young talent, great pitching, and yet they still can't draw the crowds. Hopefully the new stadium helps them.

Getting Bonds is a great move, should they choose to do it. He will help on offense and he'll help business-wise.

Looks more to me like they are trying to improve their offense by sticking a .480 on-base percentage and 170 OPS+ in the middle of the lineup.

Unfortunately, with all the great young talent the Rays have they don't win many games. That to me seems like the main reason. That and their stadium sucks (which can't possibly help).

If we believe everything we put out, then this signing will not be made. I highly doubt that both parties will agree to something anyways.

And about the new stadium. There's no chance in hell it's getting built, I live here, it's not happening. No one will vote it in.

It would be a smart move for TB, but I'd personally hate them if they signed him.

If Bonds plays for the Rays he'd be the 2nd juicer to play out his last years with this organization. I guess they want Baroid to muck up the young guys in their organization.

Let us just note that this same franchise traded Delmon Young and Elijah Dukes in the offseason to clear up character issues.

I'd do it if I were them. But whatever happens to Bonds, it will be interesting...

Well, it doesn't help that their stadium is like walking into the barrel of a cement truck.

Obviously someone hasn't walked into our stadium in the past 2 years.

I was hoping the Royals would make a run for him.
