And call me crazy, but I think crowds that are constantly waving their arms up and down look even more fake than poorly animated ones that sit still for the most part.

I feel that way too. I like how crowds are smaller for bad teams, has anyone noticed that?

I agree, the crowds in baseball games are totally non-existent and are look terribly cut and pasted. I like the crowd in the NBA2k series, they are loud and animated and look real, not like some cardboard cut out you find in video stores.
I did actually see the crowd stand up and cheer after I hit a HR yesterday. Granted they all stood up at once and lifted their hands like the "Wave" was going, but for HH that is a step up. ASB does a pretty good job with the crowd noise even though the crowd itself looks like cardboard as well.

Not to bash you either Jordan, but I guess what I'm saying is I wish people would stop complaining about the flatness or cardboardness of the crowd since clearly the technology is not quite there yet to do much better! Maybe when everyone has Gamecube 2s we can gripe about the flat crowds, but for now it's just a fact of life! Stop complaining about it as if some other baseball game has 3D modeled crowds Sheesh!

I will say some games have prettier cardboard cutouts than others, but they are still cardboard cutouts, and like I said before, the more constantly animated they are the more they tend to look out of place.

Would you rather have crowds that have more than 2 poly's each, or players with more details? It's a question of what the current systems can push. Most people don't really care about the crowd detail. Personally, I would rather see the poly's placed in the players and stadiums.
