I am also a Cincy fan and Griffey will not be going anywhere .......the Baltimore owner said he would be willing to take on a contract for a power hitter like Griffey......didnt say he was dealing for Griffey. The media has once agan blown something out of proportion. They also started this crap about the city of Cincinnatti hating JR. Griffey will retire as a Red

That's my Griffey. Anyways he won't get traded away from the Reds and will return be lethal just as he was before his injuries. If he was to get traded I would like it to be a team which wins and for him to be the star of that team and be happy.

ponson would be a nice nab not too mention any minor league players and cash they can get...and we sure need him off the salary cap

they have plenty of outfield depth.....but the reds minor league system for maybe the first time in my life as a fan is drying up pretty quick

they just dont have the kinda players down there anymore like they use too

they should ride him until the trade deadline especially if he is playing well...then strike while the iron is hot

if he gets out to a hot start this year alot of clubs may coming knocking at bowdens door....and he knows that

hopefully he doesnt suffer a setback before then

they will need the cash flow in the near future to retain adam dunn , austin kearns , etc when the time comes

not to mention add any pitching in the near future

If Griffey stays healthy then he will be an MVP candidate again, and if he gets traded and does that for another team the Reds sure will look dumb....
