I don't know how easy it will be to hit, I've heard the pitchers throw pretty hard so you can get the feel of real major league pitching

agreed. looking at the movies. the pitches look better than ASB's....
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Hell yeah, Johnson looks like he is throwing gas, and then he slows it down a bit on you. Could you imagine playing the Sox with Pedro throwing 95 and then throwing that WICKED change up on you aroudn 83 and you swining well ahead of it. It will be a challenge from what i have seen, I am pumped for this game.

After watching every video I could find, it look like you have less than a second to swing at a 95 mph fastball so the off speed pitches will really mess up your timing.

I am worried about the striking out issue also. I hope the K's will come.

I'm worried as well that there will be a lack of K's. I want a game to have realistic strikeout numbers with authentic windups for the pitchers. I want to feel like I facing Pedro or "The Unit" when I play a video game. High Heat may have the realistic strikeout numbers but all the pitchers look the same when they throw. There is no realism there. MVP and MLB 2004 have the authentic windups but may lack in strikeout numbers. I hope not. I would love to have RJ or Pedro strikeout double digit batters in the game. That my friend is baseball.
Steve said that he gets like 5-6 strikeouts per game. That is not enough in my opinion if you have a flamethrower on the hill. I just hope it isn't too easy to time the pitches. I just think it will be easy to just make contact with the pitches if all you have to do is press a button and time the swing. I just don't like the fact that if the ball is up and away or down and in I time the pitch the same. Then control where I want to place the ball by using the control pad. Sounds simplistic to me. I'll have to wait until the 12th to play it out.

you guys make this type of hitting sound like a revolutionary thing. i guess nobody can remember triple play for the playstation. i had 2000 and 2001 and the hitting was handles the same way. i actually was a big fan of it back then and am glad that ea has gone back to it. and for the record i played quite a few games on both of the games and still struck out a lot. the only thing i don't like about mvp is that if you play against a friend, they can see where you are aiming the pitches. one of the things that i loved about the old triple play on the ps1 was giving a friend was he thought was a fastball low and the zone only to end up making him looking like a fool when that fastball turned out to be a splitter breaking down and in the dirt. that was always great.

As far as playing vs people, u can turn off the pitching cursor. If you look at the tutorial, they show you can have it on, or fade, or off completely.
