What does that mean? If it means you type the players name in and then the cpu recognizes his name and creates the correct attributes and physical appearances...I have not seen any evidence that this happens...I've tried creating top prospects, Millar, Contreras, Matsui, it doesn't recognize any of those names. Now I wonder if it means, you create a player, and then the announcers and PA guy recognize his name and say it instead of "The Pitcher". Anyone have an answer to this?

I've posted this same thing but haven't gotten any answers.
I thought it was supposed to mean that they say the created players name, but that doesn't seem to work. I've tried creating people with last names like "Williams" or "Jeter" and they still won't say it. -

I too have created players, some with even names of other players and they haven't been recognized. I think that this didn't happen in the game. I do have to give HH their props, I created Charles Gipson and they announced his name.Comment

Yea maybe it just didn't make the game, although it is on the website. Or maybe it is in a different console, I have the PS2. Oh well, It's not like the Yankees will suck without Matsui and Contreras, I'm sure they will still win 100 games..lol.

What that means is when you create a player, the game automatically gives you a name for your player. If you don't edit that name, they will announce it during gameplay. Kind of weak but that is what it is.Comment
