    Two questions i have? Please Help me out

    1st- Has anyone played in The future Yankee Stadium becuase the US flag and there some stones in center feild but there right on the feild is this just a error just wounder not a huge deal?

    2nd- When your batter fouls the ball back and it like lands in the catcher glove or something and even if the counts like 1-0 hes called out whys this isnt it a foul tip cuase ut burnt me so many times today? Cause the annoucers are like he fouls it back to the screen then hes out then there like yep 2 outs

    Overall think the game is great and it wont be going back at my house

        If you foul tip it but the ctahcer ctahces it before it hits the ground its an out. Just like if you poped one foul near 1st base and the 1st baseman ran over and caught it there.

            It is my understanding that a foul tip that continues "straight" back to the catchers glove is not an out, unless the batter already has 2 strikes.

            </font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
            6.05
            A batter is out when:
            (a) His fair or foul fly ball (other than a foul tip) is legally caught by a fielder;
            (b) A third strike is legally caught by the catcher

            <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

            Therefore, foul tips that are caught by the catcher are not outs unless there are already 2 strikes on the batter.

            The quote above is from the rules at MLB.com's site.

                    Re: the future Yankee Stadium. These stones are part of Monument Park, located beyond the CF wall at the present time. If I have my history correct, the park was in play before the renovations in 1976. What I took from the ASB Yankee Stadium tour is that the plaques honor the players while the stones honor front office members. Those stone will once again be in play when and if the new Yankee Stadium is ever built.
