Question about Zone batting in All Star BB 2004

If I play in zone batting (like High Heat) will the ball icon still appear after the ball has been pitched? I can understand how this would be necessary for cursor hitting. But in zone, it seems it would all be about pushing the control pad when you see the ball icon. I hope its like HH where there is no ball icon in this mode.

There is still a ball icon, and there is no way to turn it off. I don't really have a problem with it because the pitches come in so much faster than in HH that indicator really helps to lay off some terrible pitches that otherwise might look good. While the "zone" mechanics are the same as HH, the pitcher/batter look and feel is still very different.
