    Needs rest?!?!?

I simmed the first 15 or so games of my franchise (PS2 by the way) and next to Rick Ankiel's name it said "needs rest". Well, I know this means he needs a day or two off. Now about 15 games later, it still says "needs rest". Knowing about the glitches with ASB '03, I try to warm him up thinking his status is just messed up. Well, he won't warm up. My other relievers are working fine, when they need rest I rest them and they are okay. I can't put Ankiel on the DL because the computer tells me "He is not injured!." I can't option him to the minors either because I'm sure he will be claimed. Anyone else have this problem??

Could be he's geting over-worked in simulated games.... or, as I have found, pitchers who rot away on the bench don't get warm when you suddenly need them. Has he pitched at all? I had a left specialist who'd thrown two innings in all of April and I couldn't get him warm either. It would seem to make sense-- don't pitch and forget how to pitch.

I've seen it happen before, Rudy Seanez did it to me alot last year. I don't think its a glitch, but rather, I would just send him out for a batter, whether he's warm or not, then see what happens to him...he may need to pitch. Or, just give him another 2 weeks off, one or the other should work.
