    Just hit a MAMMOTH blast with Ruth at Polo Grounds

    I was just playing an exhibition game with me being the MLB Legends vs. the Modern League Legends at Polo Grounds, and I had Ruth at bat. I connected with a fastball off Nolan Ryan of all people, and I hit it into DEEP right center in the 440 foot power alley, and next thing I know, it bounces off the TOP of the ROOF out in right center! I mean, if it's 440 to the wall, and it hit the roof on the 3rd deck WAY up there, I can't imagine where it would have landed.

    Funny thing is, I had trouble hitting homers. I haven't had the game long, and I have only had like 6 combined homers, which were mostly little line drive homers. But this one was incredible. I didn't know it was possible to hit a ball that far.

    Anyone else have any outrageous home runs they would like to share?

      WOW! That's awesome! I really wish they would announce how far the homers went in all gameplay modes, not just HR derby. That sounds like it was over 500ft.

      BTW, i LOVE the Polo grounds. That is just a really fun stadium to play in with it's extreme dimensions and all.

          WOW! That's awesome! I really wish they would announce how far the homers went in all gameplay modes, not just HR derby. That sounds like it was over 500ft.

          BTW, i LOVE the Polo grounds. That is just a really fun stadium to play in with it's extreme dimensions and all.

              I agree with you. I love playing there. Especially hitting looping liners into the center field area, where the ball just rolls and rolls. Not to mention down the line it's under 280 feet! I wish I was around to see the stadium in real life.

                      Yeah, i hear ya. I bet it was a great experience going there. That's why i'm really glad we get the stadium in games, and even get a stadium tour of it! I believe Polo is also going to be in WSB.

                              I hit a 560ft. homer with Sosa in HR Derby the other night at one of the expansion stadiums. I cant remember the name of it, but its the one that has breaks in the upper deck in right, center and left. I hit it completely out of the park in center or right center. I'm not sure why, but every time I play there, I absolutely kill the ball and hit some long homers. Maybe theres some kind of wind effect.

                                      My best in HR Derby is 578 ft with Sammy Sosa at the Metrodome. Sammy went crazy in that HR derby, hitting like 5 in a row that went over 540 ft and into the left-Center field upper deck. I believe he hit 87 total in the 5 swings mode, pretty amazing.

                                              How do you manage to hit that many homers, even in BP or a HRD? I can't hit more than a few per person in a HRD, if I am lucky, and I can never hit them out in batting practice. Any tips?
