What are they going to do, determine that poor old Barry Bonds is being blackballed by MLB teams because he's a douchebag and rule that some team has to sign him? LOL.

Why would the MLBPA even do this? Bonds isn't even a part of the Player's Association.

Because the more teams avoid Barry Bonds the more it makes the allegations against him look true. The more the allegations look true the more Donald Fehr looks like as big a tool as Bud Selig.

Common sense is not collusion Fehr. Not everything is a conspiracy!

I'd love it if they investigated this and there truly is no collusion. What's Fehr going to do? I guess he'd sweep it under the table and never bring up Bonds' name again.

I thought Bonds wasn't in the MLBPA, so way does Fehr and the MLBPA care?

Re: MLBPA to examine why BB is unemployed

The simple answer is because Bonds is asking for more money than he's worth and every MLB team realizes this.

If Bonds went out and said he'd take a pay cut then I bet more teams will attempt to sign him.

But at $12-15 million per? Not going to happen.

I guess being over 40, a not so great OF, and declining skills doesn't have anything to do with it..

Actually I don't think any of that really has much to do with it. I think the steroid situation/perjury charges are the only reason he hasn't found himself as a DH somewhere.

I believe Bonds is in the MLBPA, he just didn't want any part of the licensing agreement.

And when they're done, they'll know what every baseball fan knew months ago: nobody wants the Steriod HR King (different from the Clean HR King) on their team.

I'm a BJays fan, we've been known to pick up the old balls around the league for sometime...only to see them play very mediocre (at best) seasons. ie...Frank Thomas lol My prediction....BJays sign him...he sucks...or gets hurt. Good spend $$$

They want him, just not at the price he's asking.

Don't kid yourselves, he can still make a great DH and he will bring good value to an AL team for the right price.

True. And to a team that needs to bring people into the stadium. Perhaps the Tampa Bay Rays...decent price, good publicity, make some money...he still has some good baseball in him I think. DH position would be ideal.
