well did he have a fastball and slider? then just theow those....i would bet money that even though slider and fastball are his best pitches he still can throw a curve but not as good

In the MVP tutorial videos, it shows Johnson having a 2-seam, 4-seam, slider, and curveball.

Here's the info I have from Stats inc.'s scouting handbook.

As if his 97-MPH (or more) fastball and a slider that reaches 90 MPH were not enough, Johnson also has a split-finger pitch he uses as a sort of changeup. At 86-88 MPH, he uses the splitter with two strikes as an out pitch. He also has a two-seam fastball he can throw in when trying to induce a groundball. More often than in the past, Johnson's slider is not as sharp-breaking on some days.

Exactly, he has a splitter, slider, 2 seam, 4 seam, no curveball... Odd that a game with no editing capabilities would screw up the guy on the fricken cover.

While it is true that Randy doesn't regularly feature a curve, he has thrown one them in games before, so the inclusion in MVP is not unrealistic. Hopefully, in the game, he never uses it more than 1% of the time.

It is a bit nit-picky but everyone here is always bitching about wanting realism, realism, make it realistic blah blah. .and someone points out a possible (small) error that could damage the realism of the game and you guys ride him like mule. Nice job.

Seriously if one of you guys are playing MVP this weekend and Randy is mowing your asses down with a nasty curveball I hope you will at least have the self-respect to not start a thread about it.
