Is there a pick-off problem in HH XBOX?

I am wondering if the "problem" is that some are taking big leads and not getting back to the bag.

I do not have the game

I am on the fence and gathering all of the impressions that I can get about all of the games before I purchase my BB game.

I just got it this afternoon. My wife surprised me with it even though I was waiting to rent both HH and WSB.

I have played several games and don't know about any problem with pick offs. I have been picked off when trying to get a big lead, but I haven't seen anything that I would think was caused by a bug.


Edit: I just found the thread talking about this problem. Didn't know the "problem" was the catcher attempting too many pick offs.

Some must be trying to take huge leads, because I don't try to take too big of leads and have only had the catcher attempt a pick off twice.

I also play with the A's so I don't attmept many steals.

Yes...there is a problem. I don't control my runners and the cpu will still throw over to a base a speedy runner is on sometimes 5-6 times in a row...even if they are up 10 -0.

The logic seems to be strictly based on keeping a speedy runner close to the bag repetitvely regardless of situation...or base. They can throw to third 3 times in a row with 2 outs and leading by 7.
This bug has been in the pc game for 4 years now. Only thing is, you could change the pickoff % tries in tune file for pc...can't do that here.

I played HH2001 and never saw anything like what you describe.

It probably has to do with taking big leads.
