The one thing that swayed me with High Heat's minors were, they had all 3 levels, and they generated stats over the year so you could really see how good someone was. That's cool. None of the other games generate minor league stats.

I don't have ASB2004 and was wondering what exactly do you mean by "real minor leagues"? Do they have the real minor league players' names or what?

yes the real players or most of them.

If you look closely at many of the minor leaguers (high minors) in ASB they are actually players that were invited to spring training as non-roster invites. I picked up on this when looking at the spring training guide in Baseball Weekly.

I'm pretty sure the game would have to have a Minor League license to include guys that haven't yet played in the Majors and aren't in the MLBPA. So, besides non-roster invitees and the 15 remaining players from the 40 man roster, are there really any REAL minor leaguers in the game?

I don't know about HH minors I could almost put all my money that they don't have real life minors.

In ASB I know that some of the minor leaguers had real names because they qualified to be in the Players Association through game times in 02.

In ASB's defense, you don't have to play with the cursor. The Zone system works pretty good, and it definitely produced realistic results. Whether this game was a sim or not last year, it certainly is this year. Can't say for sure since MVP and WSB aren't out yet, but i'm guessing HH and ASB will be the two most sim-like games.
