I started off playing all star, sliders at default, except pitch speeds which I turned up and like the way they are. I was winning games 15-13 and everyone of my guys were hitting .400+. Next, I turned my hitting and CPU hitting down one notch. I started winning games 6-0, 7-1, etc... So, I moved the level to MVP. Now I'm getting beat 10-2, 9-0, even though I'm making the exact same contact. Frustrating, I've never had this problem with HH in years past. Its really disappointing right now.

there is a high heat tutorial at high heat.net or at baseball sim central that will explain what the sliders will do so that you can set up your game as you want.

I play on All star, (so far), I don't like 15-12 games because guess what, that's not what the scores are in real baseball, so I pull the slider completely freaking off on the CPU, I bring mine down 3 clicks, (I'm the Tigers I can still only win once in a while) I also push my power all the way up, (might just be another Tiger thing, but I don't get enough Homers if I don't.) My scores are usually in the 5-3, 3-2, with some high scoring games. My guys averages are still a little higher than real life but they are believeable.

I am horrible at the game even on pro. Like last year I will have to work my way up on the levels. But here are some good sliders :
1.Turn up all pitch speeds to position 8-10(up 3-5 from defualt)
2.Turn up foul balls to 7 (up 2 from defualt)
3.Turn errors up 1 from default.
IMO, for xbox, this gives you a more realistic game. If you on ps2., move pitches up 2 from defualt (7).

I dont know. I kept all the sliders at default on MVP level and I am currently 5-2 with the Yankees. Out of my 7 games, all 7 of them were realistic scores. I did not touch the foul ball slider and my last game, Roger Clemens pitched a complete game 107-pitch shutout. That sounds realistic to me. I honestly feel that default sliders are the best. Every game I play is a massive challenge.Comment

Turn 'on' Variable Ump
Batting Camera: Low Zoomed ( I started off on Low, but this seems to give me better views on some of the pitches, and this will effect pitch speeds)
Run Speeds:
CPU and Human Baserunner speed - 6 (in order to speed the gameplay up a little)
Throw Speeds:
CPU and Human Fielder Throw: 6 (again for speeding up gameplay)
CPU Catcher - 3
Human Catcher - 4 (makes for realistic stealing, one up for human due to response time)
Miscellaneous:
Pitch Count - 6
Pitch Control Sim - 8
Fatigue - 7
Pitch Speeds (get ready for these):
Fastball/Cutter - 10
Knuckleball, Changeup, Fosh, Palmball - 8
Everything else - 9
(complaing about slow pitch speed now
)

I was stealing waaaaay too much with guys like Conine and Segui (granted, they were on breaking pitches, but Segui???).
