Good God man, did he sleep with your girl before he left town? Get over it.

Don't hate. This has nothing to do with the Padres sucking. Just Prior. Next year someone else will fall for it. No need to be so defensive.

Just have a question for everyone though. If Prior and Pavano celebratorily chest-bumped, who would explode into more pieces?

I forgot that the Padres were running out of space for all their World Series trophies.

Oh, and I'll save you the time:

                  LOL @ the Tigers.

They'll sign him next year to a guarenteed $55 million dollar contract with no escape clauses even though he and his agent try to insist that some be put in for the good of everyone involved.

...Oh wait, didn't they already do that once?....

LOL @ the Tigers? There was no shame in losing to the Tigers in 1984. Afterall, they did start the season 35-5 and were far and away the best team in baseball that year.

There was also no shame in losing to the Yankees in 1998. That team won 256 games that year, and were far and away the best team in baseball.

However, there is shame in watching your team pull off two of the biggest choke jobs in baseball in the last 30 years.

                        I'll save you the time:

LOL @ 2-0 series lead in a best of 5 and not being able to hold leads in either games 4 or 5. LOL @ Steve Garvey.

But I'll sum up the idiocy of the majority of Cub's Nation in one simple statement made to me to by a Cub fan. He said, "I would rather have my team not make it to the World Series than to lose in the World Series." My response, "Then you must be one of the happiest guys on the planet."

At the very least, win or lose, I've had the joy of watching my team play in the Fall Classic, can more than a hand full of Cub fans say that?

Your statement about enjoying your team getting their *** kicked in two WS appearances is just as idiotic as the one Cubs fan you quoted. I know you are jealous of the Cubs, but your 1984 argument got really old about 600 postings ago.

So keep talking about the Cubs choking and never winning anything. You sound really intelligent considering your team has also won absolutely nothing.

Wow, I'm going to give Mark Prior a pat on the shoulder for causing such an explosion on these forums.

Anyways, my guess is that the Padres again sign him after this season is over. Hell, they let Sterling Hitchcock get back from injury and they did the same with Estes.
