    HH: too hard?

I played a game on pro level today default sliders. I lost 9-5 in 10 innings. I gave up 19 hits. The reason the game is so hard is because nearly EVERY pitch in the strike zone gets belted. I try to mix in balls obviously, but the computer rarely swings at balls. How anyone has success in the HOF or MVP level is anyones guess. BTW, Ben Sheets was my starting pitcher, so it's not like I was using a scrub. Also, I was playing the Expos, not exactly a powerhouse team. I could alter the sliders, but if I can't win in Pro, I must be beyond help.

Do you aim your pitches when you select A to throw a strike? Meaning, I push my thumbpad all the way to the edge of the direction I want to throw the strike. You pitchers control rating will then impact the outcome of the pitch location.

I just remember the first few batters I faced, I only pushed the thumbpad a little because I didn't want to throw a ball, and I was getting shelled. Now, I have now problem pitching and winning on MVP level.

right now i cant win at allstar, but my pitching is getting better. i too, push the stick fully for the desired location and its working. i moved to allpro and there is a world if diff. for sure. 2-0 on this level with my first route Reds 14-1 win over the O's. At least 3 occasions i was in tight spots where the O's had 1st and 2nd no outs and was able to pitch my way out it and not give up any runs--which is an accomplishment for me.

Yeah, I play on MVP too and I am 5-2 with the Yanks using default sliders. It's all about mixing up pitches and locations. If you mix up pitches effectively (and dont play with a team like Tampa Bay), then you will even be able to sneak my fastballs down the middle without getting them crushed. Just takes time and practice.

Keep playing, I am bad at it also. But like last year, I moved up on the difficulty levels with constant play.
