McNamee trying to cash in on Clemens memorabilia

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3325110

"Steve Cardillo, a mutual friend of McNamee and Castinetti, said he convinced McNamee to sell the items rather than discard them and possibly donate the proceeds for juvenile diabetes research, the Daily News reported".

LMAO "donate the proceeds", yea right

I doubt he's going to give 1 percent to charity. The guy is desperate for money.

what are you talking about? Where did you get that he is giving 20 percent to "charity"?

let me help you out man. Fyi, he's getting 80 percent of the proceeds. If he gives any to charity, it will have to be out of his 80 percent. The other 20 percent goes to other people involved with putting on the event.

McNamee's lawyers told people that his intention is to give some of his cut to charity....but if you have been following this at all, there have obviously been a lot of PR quotes being thrown about in the press by McNamee's lawyers. This entire thing has been about PR....especially with ESPN stories relating to the Mitchell report (btw, George Mitchell was chairman of ESPN/Disney, which explains much of ESPN's coverage of this, and why many of their "reports" are written how they are).

It obviously works for some suckers. The guy has a lawsuit coming up and he is broke. If you think he's going to give 20 percent of his 80 percent to charity, then you might be delusional to reality.
