The game box has screenshots of the pitcher/batter sequence, but I have yet to find a good screenshot of the fielding. Is it even worth it on a hand held?

Anyone have experience w/ baseball games on the GBA?
I was looking at All Star Baseball 2004 on the GBA. Anyone played '03? I wouldn't mind getting a football game either.

Re: Anyone have experience w/ baseball games on the GBA?
I have not yet tried All Star 04, but last year Baseball Advance absolutely blew it away as the best portable baseball game. I couldnt even get through a game of All-Star because the computer never threw balls, and I am not exaggerating. Not one single pitch outside of the strike zone. Supposedly that has been fixed this year. Baseball Advance also sported an innovative metered batting system that was pretty revolutionary....and is being copied now by the console games to a certain extent.
If you are a stats freak, however, baseball advance may let you down as the rosters will now be 2 years old.gt: casey yellowstone PS5Comment

Stats a cool, but if the game plays really well and is fun, I would be all about it. I read some stuff about Baseball Advance and would really like to try it. The problem is finding it though. I have check my local GameStops and havn't had much luck.
Thanks for the info.Comment

Re: Anyone have experience w/ baseball games on the GBA?
Baseball Advance is a great game, but it needs some improvements. That's why I'd like to hear more about ASB2004, which is a pretty decent looking game.
Here are the gameplay improvements it could use (for starters):
-pitcher inaccuracy
-better variety of hits (too many fly balls)
-better control of hit (almost no control over grounder vs. popup, even with cursor positioning)
-more difficult fielding (catch area is too large)
-fewer home runs
Don't get me wrong though, BA is a superb game and kept me busy for over 100 games. I wish they were making a sequel!Comment
