i'm thinking of getting this game as most seem to like it, realism is what i'm after not bells and whistles, one ? though i've heard people complain about the pitcher trying to pickoff runners to the point of spoiling the game, how bad is it?, also what about turning double plays are they that hard or is it just take practice, thanks.

I haven't seen that much of it. I'm not that aggressive with my running game, so that may be part of it.

When they happen, it feels like you accomplished something. If your rythym is perfect, it'll happen.

I agree with fossen. DPs are eaiser to turn after you play the game for a while it is really realistic. you have to set up the guy fielding the ball so his momentum is taking him towards second base. as far as pickoff attemps go if you have a fast runner sometimes the pitcher will throw over far too many times.

I agree with fossen. thanks for the reply, sounds like the game for me, gameplay is what it's all about when it comes to sports games, i might still get world series as well but i've been stung by that game the last three years so i'll wait and see what people think of it's gameplay after a week or two of it, as far as graphics and bells and whistles go there nice but only if the gameplay matches.

thanks for the reply, sounds like the game for me, gameplay is what it's all about when it comes to sports games, i might still get world series as well but i've been stung by that game the last three years so i'll wait and see what people think of it's gameplay after a week or two of it, as far as graphics and bells and whistles go there nice but only if the gameplay matches.

Yeah i hear ya. last year i went for the bells and whistels and went with asb and the stats where way to unrealistic. i hit like 80 hrs with dunn and griffey and i went 130-32 with the reds. with hh this year i am 14-19 with the reds and my leader in hrs russell branyun( can you believe that?) has 10. i truly love the gameplay in hh!

one more ? i had, i've heard that if you change the sliders in the game that everytime you shutoff your consol (xbox for me) they revert back to default, is that true, no way to save them to your liking

i have a ps2 and all you have to do is put the sliders where you want them then save the options. after that everytime you turn on the game load the options before you load your season and they will be right.

that makes more sence to me, these other guys must not have been saving before shutting down, how is the manual that comes with the game, is it good, hope so cause i've never played HH before, thanks again.
