Jeff Niemann is redicously awesome.
I'm watching him on pitchtrack and every breaking pitch that he threw broke over 10 inches. His curve broke 18 inches sometimes. WOW!!Last edited by RAZRr1275; 04-13-2008, 05:39 PM.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Tags: None -

Re: Jeff Niemann is redicously awesome.
It didn't hurt that he was facing the Orioles. It's weird, every time a pitcher is making his ML debut against the Orioles, they dominate. Jesse Litsch did it last year for Toronto and proceeded to get shelled in his next start. Dallas Braden also did last year for Oakland.Comment

Re: Jeff Niemann is redicously awesome.
you're making this argument b/c we have 1 decent player? A player who's still not even close to a top 10 outfielder in the majors? our 1b and clean up guy is Kevin Millar. Our 2nd baseman is decent, but could be traded by the deadline. our ss might be one of the weakest hitters in the majors. our 3b is a guy who's numbers have declined every year for the past 4 years. our core of consists of luke scott (who's gotten off to a hot start, but let's not go crazy just yet), adam jones who looks great but hasn't proven anything yet, and markakis who had a great year but he's not going to carry this team. should i even start on the pitching?
i sure as hell hope i'm wrong and we win out this year, but i'm not holding my breath. we have decent potential in our young guys, but that's just it so far... potential. of our youngsters, the only guy who's "proven" anything is markakis.Comment

Well I think it's insane to say that a guy who drove in 112 runs, hit .300, and stole 18 bases as a 23 year old is only "semi-decent".Comment
