It seems like this year's batch of games really reflect the broad types of baseball fans out there. For the guys who absolutely love all of the extremely subtle nuances and strategy there is High Heat (although ASB is good in this department too). For those who like the current glitz and glamor of the game (not saying anything bad), there's WSB and MVP (granted I haven't played either, but just my impressions), and for the history and nostalgic people out there, there is ASB.
I'm not in any way trying to knock any game, I think it's great that each has unique perspective. I think that WSB and MVP look very good, and capture a great part of the game that HH and ASB probably don't do as well. HH definitely captures the in game feel probably the best of everyone, and ASB has the whole history and atmosphere and "aura" of baseball.
Again, just a fan, but my .02. I also think that there are baseball fans that drool over stats, and to those there are games like Out of the Park 5. I'm just glad that there are choices.
Personallly I'm a big fan of the history of the game, and I also love the financial and business side of the game (being that I'm getting my Masters in Business). For me ASB is the game. I do want to try to WSB because I really liked it last year, and I've seen and heard good things this year.
