Dont just play one game and pass judgement. If you havent played before there is a small learning curve to the game. Not only in learning to read the pitches but adapting to the AI and its style. Play a handful of games before you decide if its good or bad, makes things a little more simple in the decision process that way.

I usually get HH for the PC, but my computer is getting older (and I don't feel like getting a new one). So this year I got HH for the PS2. Trust me, even a veteran HH player like me struggled with the console version. The 2004 PS2 version plays very differently than previous years' PC versions (at least for me).

Currently I leave all the sliders at default (except pitch speed which I increased 3 notches up). Started a franchise with the Dodgers.... struggled early on in All-Star, going 2-4. Since then I have won 11 straight. Now I am thinking about moving up the difficulty.

My point is... give it some time. The pitches WILL become easier to hit and you will learn how to pitch effectively yourself. Then you'll start winning some games. All you have to do is practice.

This is my first time with it as well and I love it.

You can't pase judgement base on one game. I started on Rookie and have adjusted sliders and slowly worked my way up as I got comfortable. I am playing on All-Star now. I have close games and I'm having a blast.

I'm new to HH as well.

I started with Rookie. I also satrted with the AL All-Stars against the Orioles. Just get used to things, and work your way up, difficulty-wise.

For me I'm tring to get better on MVP. I win too easily on All-Star but now on MVP I have a tough time scoring runs. It's nice though to have a challengeing video game.

Pitchers are streaky too. My most dependable pitcher just got shelled for 12 runs and I'm 50 games into my season. I have a pretty good handle on pitching too. It just doesn't happen some games. Give it a thorough chance. You'll come around.

For me, All-Star is easy because I can shut down the other team's players easily. How are the hitters in MVP level? Are they smarter and better hitters?
